Sometimes the balance is hard to achieve though - my mums dead and i never see my dad really and we dont speak to my inlaws so the rest of hubbys family dont speak to us so the whole extent of mine and dds family is each other, my husband, my sister, my dad when we occasionally see him usually once every 3 or 4 months and my aunt.
